Time: 17:00 – 19:00

You are invited to join the launch of 'Trans-Atlantic data privacy relations as a challenge for democracy’ book, edited by Dan Svantesson and Dariusz Kloza (Intersentia, 2017). Inspired by the Snowden affaire and the fall of Safe Harbor, the book explores a wider picture of data privacy protection in relations between Europe and Americas as a challenge for democracy, the rule of law (Rechtsstaat) and fundamental rights. The book launch will take shape of panel discussions amongst its many authors as well as invited experts. It will look into these relations through the lens of the human rights protection and the role of the new data privacy law in the European Union.

The programme is now available.

The event is free to attend but capacity is limited, so registration is required. For more information please contact info@brusselsprivacyhub.org.
