Since 2016, the Brussels Privacy Hub’s European Data Protection Law Summer School has a marked multi-stakeholder character, and stimulates networking opportunities allowing participants to engage with the principal EU data protection institutions and actors in Brussels. Teaching staff will consist of leading academics in EU data protection law, public and private legal practitioners and representatives of key EU institutions such as the European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS).
The Brussels Privacy Hub organises periodically training seminars addressed to all data protection practitioners. These seminars are aimed at providing in-depth knowledge and practical guidance on specific aspects of data protection implementation. In order to maximize their benefit, participants are expected to meet each seminar’s entry requirements as set by the BPH. The seminars are usually two or three full-day seminars, in small groups of 20 to 25 persons. Lecturers are experts in the respective fields, who are able to transmit to participants their practical and hands-on experience. Training seminars are usually organised in the Vrije Universiteit Brussel campus, at the Institute of European Studies premises. In-house training seminars, whose topic list will be decided together with the organisation concerned and may take place at its own premises, may also be arranged after consultation with the BPH (firstname.lastname@example.org).
